Introduction: Pride Landscapes is actively hiring a Landscape Account Manager. Pride Landscapes has had the privilege of serving the community of Compass Pointe in Leland NC for almost 9 years. The account manager will work directly with the owner to ensure proficient work within the company at all times. This position will be highly involved and hands-on in every department to help train staff and ensure timely completion of tasks and duties assigned. Qualified Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ professional landscape experience working in both commercial and residential environments in the Coastal Region. Candidates will be punctual, professional in appearance and attitude, and have a high talent in the following areas:
-Lawn Maintenance
-Ability to use and maintain equipment such as weedeaters, zero-turn mower, blowers.
-Knowledge of local plant material including trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals.
-Recognition of various grass varieties and maintenance practices such as mowing heights.
-Keen sense of communication amongst team members, supervisors, and clients.
-Landscape Installation
-Knowledge of proper planting techniques for various varieties and sizes of plants.
-High skill of grading, sod installation, and bed defining.
-Preferred ability to use heavy equipment such as tractor, skid steer, and mini excavator.
-Capability to accurately measure areas, read blue prints, and have a “big picture” outlook.
-Turf Pesticide Applications
-Preferred certification and Pesticide Applicators License
-Ability to identify various pests, weeds, diseases with proper treatment analysis.
-Awareness of proper use of safety equipment and standards for mixing and loading pesticides.
-Time Management and Outlook Planning
-Expertise to effectively manage crew duties and personnel to maximize output.
-Strong sense of understanding how past, current, and future duties function together.
-Proficient at communicating and understanding Logic of basic landscape principles.
-Adapt at communicating professionally via e-mails, phone calls, and text messages.
-Irrigation
-Knowledge of basic irrigation set-up and function.
-Ability to diagnose, replace, and fix sprinkler heads and pvc lines.
-Comprehension of water needs for landscape and management of irrigation Clocks.
Job Details: Monday -Friday work week, 6:45am – 3:30pm, along with 2 Saturdays per month, 8am-12pm. Starting pay will be hourly at $22.50 per hour. Weekly pay via Direct Deposit. Following a 90-day probation period position will be salaried at $50,000 per year with the same schedule; PTO will also be allocated weekly to allow a total of 14 days per year. Paid Holidays will be included with the annual salary.

Must have personal cell phone for purpose of communicating via text/call/emails and for payroll purposes. Shirts and safety glasses are provided. Pride Landscapes is 100% Non-Smoking. Hiring Process: Qualified applicants are required to submit resume and answer all applicant questions. Upon further review, highly rated applicants will be contacted to schedule a follow-up interview, to include hands-on illustration of knowledge such as using power tools and plant ID.
