Job Summary:

The Live-In Manager is responsible for managing the overall operations of a small motel, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction, maintaining the property, and handling administrative tasks. The role includes being the primary point of contact for guests, managing staff, overseeing breakfast service, and assisting with laundry and housekeeping when needed. The goal is to ensure the motel runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Services:

Greet and check-in/check-out guests.

Address and resolve guest inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly.

Provide information about the motel, local attractions, and services.

Property Management:

Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure the property is in good condition.

Coordinate with maintenance staff or contractors for repairs and upgrades as needed.

Breakfast Preparation and Service:

Set up and manage the breakfast serving area, ensuring all food items are fresh and well-presented.

Greet guests during breakfast hours, assist with service, and replenish items as needed.

Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and manage post-breakfast cleanup.

Monitor inventory of breakfast supplies and restock as necessary.

Staff Management:

Supervise housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance staff.

Ensure that all staff members follow the motel’s policies and procedures.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

Assist with laundry and housekeeping duties as needed or when the motel is short-staffed, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Administrative Duties:

Manage reservations, including phone, online, and walk-in bookings.

Maintain accurate records of guest stays, payments, and other relevant data.

Safety and Security:

Ensure the safety and security of guests and staff by monitoring the premises.

Address any security concerns or incidents immediately.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in hotel or motel management, customer service, or a related field is preferred. Experience in food preparation or service, laundry, or housekeeping is a plus.

Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and handle various operational aspects.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic computer software (e.g., reservation systems, word processing, spreadsheets).

Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift moderately heavy items, and perform housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.

Compensation:

Salary: salary based on experience. $45,000 to $48,000 annually

Housing: On-site living accommodations provided, including all utilities.
