The Opportunity
This opportunity as a Site Safety Health Officer, in Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota is great for an experienced safety professional with an HVAC background! This individual will be responsible for ensuring proper safety procedures are being adhered to on the job site.
The Responsibilities
⢠Ensures the safety of employees and contractors
⢠Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal regulations
⢠Assess jobsite hazards, develops methods to mitigate those hazards, and train personnel in the required safe work methods and procedures
⢠Updates the Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) as necessary and determines the required personal protective equipment to be used.
⢠Maintains situational awareness of active and developing situations to ensure compliance with established project safety requirements.
⢠Conducts weekly Toolbox Topic Training, and provides attendance rosters to Corporate.
⢠Coordinates responses to any on-site emergencies, and interfaces with off-site and on-site emergence response entities.
⢠Investigates any accident, injury, or near miss, documents all such incidents, and reports all incidents, and reports all incidents to the Corporate Safety Manager.
⢠Works with employees and management to modify existing safe work methods or to create new methods to ensure employee safety.
⢠Addresses and reports all safety and quality control complaints and concerns.
⢠Enforces maintenance of a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
⢠Identifies proper storing practices and procedures and communicates corrective actions
⢠Manages all aspects of safety initiatives and controls updating all applicable working instructions, forms, and specifications.
⢠Maintains safety data, conducts analyses and provides reports on the compliance with our company safety processes
⢠Initiates and maintains relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential customers as they relate to contract compliance.

The Necessities
⢠High school diploma or equivalent
⢠Great customer service skills
⢠Effective communication skills
⢠A positive attitude
⢠Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (drug, background, and driving history)
⢠OSHA 30 certification
⢠First Aid and CPR certification
⢠Valid driver's license
Great to Have
⢠HVAC
⢠Electrical background
⢠Prior experience working on government contracts or military bases
⢠Ability to obtain a security clearance
