We are looking for both FULL TIME and PART TIME drivers.
PTR Services, Inc is an independent contractor for FedEx Ground working out of Minot, ND. We work M-F except during Peak Season ( Thanksgiving thru Christmas ) when we also work Saturdays and if needed an occasional Sunday.
To describe the physical activity of our business, we are a package delivery company. We deliver packages to residential and business addresses. However, just as big a part of our business is Customer Service. The best-fit employees for this job will have a great work ethic and an ability to manage their time with an ability to re-prioritize during the day as the day develops. Customer service includes delivering the package to a safe location, not damaging the package while it is in the truck, protecting it from potential weather damage at point of delivery, etc All these activities contribute to the customer's satisfaction and are your responsibility. Drivers must be willing to consider these things at every delivery.
As a FULL TIME Employee the typical work day is 8-10 hours, We offer competitive wages, paid holidays, sick days and 401(k).
As a PART TIME employee, we realize that your everyday job is your priority. Our part time employees are used as needed and for the most part, on your terms. If we need a driver and you are called, then you have the option to come in that day. If you cant, then we call the next person. If you have regularly scheduled days off and want to be available for a specific day of the week, we will do our best to accommodate that also.
To be eligible to drive you must:
Be customer service oriented
Be safety conscious
Pass a DOT physical
Have a fairly clean driving record
Be able to lift 70 pounds
Be able to maneuver 140 pounds on a hand truck
Be able to follow instructions
Have a decent sense of direction
Have good reasoning skills
Be comfortable working and driving after sundown and on rural roads
It is preferred that you have at least 1 year in the last 3 years, or 5 in the last 10 years, of verifiable experience driving for someone else pizza delivery, taxi, any job where you drove your car or a company car on company business. If you were a self-employed contractor or similar and drove your own vehicle in the course of work, that qualifies also. If you haven no commercial driving experience you can still apply, it just means you will have to jump through a few more hoops.
