Description Looking to work with a thriving company? Robert Half is seeking a talented Accounting Manager to work with a successful Manufacturing organization that will recognize your efforts. You might be a good fit for this position if you can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. You will succeed in this position if you have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. Based in the Akron, Ohio area, this Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for permanent employment.Your responsibilities in this role
Team up with FP& A and accounting management to develop relevant, timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met
Possess a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants Requirements - Recent relevant financial experience
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
CPA or MBA preferred
Foundational knowledge in account reconciliation
Month end closings experience desired
Bank reconciliations experience highly desired
Command of general ledger
Deep understanding of General Ledger System
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Solid technology and analytical abilities
