Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Cloud Engineer in the Manufacturing industry, based in Akron, Ohio. This role involves a transition to internal cloud management, with a focus on Microsoft Endpoint/Intune Management, Microsoft Defender, and AD. This role is integral to our team, requiring the individual to manage and configure Microsoft Endpoint Management, ensuring alignment with security best practices and our existing infrastructure.Responsibilities: Lead the management and configuration of Microsoft Endpoint Management, Microsoft Defender, and Intune. Align Baseline Security and Intune Deployment & Support Processes. Serve as a subject matter expert on Microsoft Endpoint Management, Microsoft Defender, and Intune technologies. Provide guidance on deployment, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft Defender and Intune tools. Support and manage shared service technologies, MDM, Data Center, and Cloud Systems Maintenance. Adhere to and enforce IT policies. Support Remote Hands and Vacation and Holiday Coverage, ensuring uninterrupted IT operations. Understand and implement app protection, mobile threat defense, device compliance, and setting baseline security requirements. Utilize scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and orchestration of endpoint tasks. Analyze and resolve security incidents, recommending appropriate remediation actions.Requirements Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Cloud Engineer role or similar Demonstrable proficiency in Amazon EC2 Proficiency with Ansible for configuration management Experience with the use of Atlassian Jira for project management Familiarity with Auto Scaling in cloud computing environments Proficiency in AWS Technologies Experience in API Development Knowledge of automation processes in cloud environments Familiarity with Backup Technologies Experience with Cluster Analysis in data processing Must have excellent problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
