Cloud Data Platform Engineer experienced in cloud-based technology, with a firm grasp of IaaS technologies, platforms and applications, and have intimate knowledge of how best to customize these attributes to fulfill business need to drive automation, security and efficiency. Would help connect the dots and evolve cloud capabilities over time as an engineer by keeping an eye on developments that can support our expansion-and help in implementing best practices.
Job Description:
• Design , develop and implement continuous delivery pipelines that serve the purpose of provisioning non-prod and production environments
• Develop deployment automation for any type of workload (Application, database, caching, Mobile, etc.) on AWS using industry standard deployment and configuration tools.
• Develop tools and solutions to integrate, automate, and orchestrate cloud operational needs using Automation, AWS DevOps and Snowflake templates.
• Define and bring in "Continuous Integration and Continuous deployment" standard methodologies
• Recommend a migration and consolidation strategy for DevOps, including Public Cloud automation using AWS DevOps
• Partner with Development teams to identify the workload patterns and deliver the suitable deployment automation
• Document deployment automation and pipeline details and effectively socialize with Development teams to educate and demonstrate
• Provide systems support including responding to monitoring alerts.
• Implement and stay abreast of Cloud and Kubernetes industry standard methodologies and tooling
• Problem solving and resolution (root cause identification)
Required:
• Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
• Extensive Knowledge on system utilities, Unix/Linux operating systems and shells with security tools
• Database technologies :SQL and NoSQL ,PostgreSQL, Hive SQL, Snowflake databases?
• Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering
• Experience in developing state-of-the-art cloud solutions for scalability, reliability, security, and performance
• Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC.
• Experience in AWS Administration.
• Experience with implementation, maintenance of Configuration Management Tools Chef and Ansible.
• Experience with Terraform to automate Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Auto-Scaling in launching Cloud instances, Load Balancer, S3, Cloud Watch.
• Experience with automation tools like Jenkins to implement the End-to-End Automation.
• Experience with Implementing cloud services IAAS, PAAS, and SaaS which include Openstack, Docker and Openshift.
• Experience in deploying the applications in Docker containers.
• Extensive Knowledge on system utilities, Unix/Linux operating systems and shells with security tools.
• Experience managing Docker orchestration and Docker containerization using Kubernetes.
• Expert with Agile/DevOps process, Build and Release automation, can review code and Incident Change Management.
• Good experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment methodologies using Jenkins and Docker.
• Experience in version management across different environments using Git on Linux.
• Experienced in using Build Automation tools like ANT, Maven for Java applications.
• Experience with all aspects of the software configuration management process including code compilation, packaging, deployment, release methodology and application configurations.
• Extensive experience in using Build Automation tools like, ANT, Maven for Java applications.
• Knowledge of Nexus and Artifactory repositories for the maven artifacts and dependencies.
• Set up Build Infrastructure with Jenkins and Subversion server in AWS.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
• Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required.
Technical Cloud Certifications /Experience:
o 3-4 years' experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related position
o 2 years crafting and administrating various cloud platforms in a large-scale environment;
o Experience with SOA applications and cloud-based services, preferably AWS
o Snowflake Experience: 1 year [Preferred]
o DevOps: 4 years (Required)
o Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Certification, and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification a plus. (Other cloud-related certification also a plus.)
