Job Title: Manufacturing ManagerDepartment: ManufacturingReports To: Chief Operating OfficerExemption Classification: ExemptSummary: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s manufacturing processes.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS to PERFORM DUTIESEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Direct overall manufacturing activities, including assembly, material movement, maintenance, tooling, production scheduling, quality assurance and shipping. Prepare work instructions, conduct employee performance evaluation reviews and performance progress reviews, monitor working conditions, and prepare work schedules and assign staff to maintain efficient operations. Maintain and improve safe, high quality and efficient operations with the assistance of supervisors or lead personnel. Familiar with a variety of machine build concepts, practices, and procedures. This is to include plumbing, electrical and sheet metal. Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures. Perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Work and communicate with other departments, as necessary. Responsible for assisting the COO in departmental budgets, including plant utilities, building and grounds.Supervisory Responsibilities: Indirectly responsible for all employees within the manufacturing department with direct supervision over the Department supervisors and lead personnel.QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience: College degree or minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field.Language Skills: Communicate verbally and/or in writing with other employees, other departments, and supervision as to work in progress, problems, and/or completion. Must be able to present information to groups of employees, customers, vendors etc.Mathematical Skills: Must be able to perform advanced level mathematics reasoning (algebraic formulas, trigonometry, and strength of materials, as well as calculations consistent with the cleaning equipment industry.Reasoning Ability: Be able to identify work process problems and practical solutions. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Maintain local, regional, and/or national memberships in appropriate professional organizations/associations.Physical Demands: Sit at workstation for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to adjust visual focus. Travel may be required. May need to go into a shop environment on as needed basis.Work Environment: Traditional office atmosphere. Temperature standard.
