UC Health is hiring a Nurse Clinician (RN) LVAD Coordinator for the Surgery-Perfusion Department for the first shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The LVAD Coordinator will work with a multidisciplinary team five days a week/eight hours a day with some flexibility as needed. This role is all cardiac based. This position requires call. Call is divided between the other LVAD coordinator and is scheduled two weeks at a time. Call is M-F 3pm-7am and 48 Hours for the weekends. Call consists of taking phone calls and answering questions, however, a couple times a year you are requested to come in physically during call time.
The LVAD Coordinator is responsible for both inpatient and outpatient settings. After implantation of device, the LVAD coordinator will provide education to the patient and their families. In addition, they will then travel to the facility where their patient is located (nursing home, rehab etc) The coordinator will also provide education to the staff at the facility and prepare them in how to manage the patient\'s care.

UC Health is hiring a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Nurse (CN I) for the Acute Care Medicine on 8 Northwest unit for the Day Shift WOW at UC Medical Center.
The Acute Care Medicine Nurse will support the Medical Centers medicine and Level 1 Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures. Between our 3rd and 4th floor, there is a total of 52 beds with ratios ranging from 4 to 6 patients per nurse. Majority of patients are transferred from the Emergency Departments and occasionally lateral transfers from the main hospital that need an extended hospital stay.
