This may be through scheduling, handling phone calls, greeting patients, and assisting with special projects and management functions. Administrative Assistants are an essential part of Cleveland Clinic's smooth operation, which allows caregivers to focus on patient care and improves coordination between the nursing team, administrative teams, and providers.The ideal future caregiver is someone who:

Has strong EPIC experience.

Has experience scheduling and working with patients in a healthcare setting.

Coordinates resources for daily assignments and coordinates work schedules to provide coverage for employee paid time off and key activities.

Distributes work to maintain departmental work flow and desk coverage for an assigned area.

Supervises the department function and resources in the absence of the manager.

Participates on project teams to build competency around specific department tools and methods for organizational performance improvement.

Conducts quality monitoring by providing training, recommending improved processes and maintaining documented processes and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED.

Certifications:

None required.

Complexity of Work:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

Minimum three years experience in similar role, which includes the coordination of multiple tasks.

Some leadership or experience providing work direction helpful.

Physical Requirements:

A high degree of dexterity, normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
