Compliance Manager, Independence Consultation - Business Relationships, Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) Are you interested on being on the cutting edge of regulatory compliance? Then our ICN Business Relationships team may be the right fit for you!As part of ICN Business Relationships team, you will be an enabler of Deloitte's growth by reviewing proposed business relationships such as alliances, teaming arrangements, and sponsorships for independence threats that Deloitte faces in the marketplace.What you'll do: As a manager on the team, you'll promote and monitor compliance with auditor independence rules and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures to help manage Deloitte's regulatory and reputational risk. The ICN Business Relationships team is responsible for handling independence inquiries received from our professionals and engagement teams. As a manager, you'll be part of a strong and cohesive team where you will use your analytical, research, and investigative skills to:

Manage a domestic and international team of professionals who process business relationships and consultations by answering questions and providing guidance and training

Perform critical secondary reviews of business relationship submissions in the internal Deloitte database

Work closely with Lead Client Service Partners, Professional Practice Directors, Regional Compliance Officers, DTT Independence Directors, and other business Partners, Principals, and Managing Directors on consultations involving business relationships

Identify and institute potential enhancements to the existing business relationship clearance process and tools, including the internal Deloitte database

Take a management role in completing independence processes and assigned projects

Monitor, foster, and institute data quality in the internal Deloitte database

Create and present training sessions on business relationships across all Deloitte functions

The ICN Business Relationships team performs a critical consultative, quality-assurance, and risk-management function for the Deloitte US Firms, helping the organizations remain unbiased and independent when entering into business relationships with third parties.Qualifications of a Successful CandidateRequired:

Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting)

5+ years related compliance experience

Outstanding attention to detail along with strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills

Strong technology skills

Strong ability to communicate information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, to various audiences and levels of seniority across the globe

Ability to analyze facts and relationships

Ability to perform process flow management

Ability to learn, understand, and apply Deloitte's independence policies and guidance related to business relationships

Ability to manage and prioritize time required on activities and be responsive to requests for information.

A demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and prioritize amidst multiple projects

Supervision, coaching, and team management

Ability to travel 10-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

Knowledge of independence requirements for professional accounting firms

Prior public accounting (Big 4), consulting, or regulatory compliance experience

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000 to $191,000.
