Job Summary:Nexus Engineering Group is seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Information Management Intern to join our operations department. This intern will play a crucial role in enhancing our internal communication systems and workflows, focusing primarily on our Nexus Intranet: The Workbench, and a pivotal PIM Software Pilot project. The ideal candidate will possess a keen interest in project management, a foundational knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, and a willingness to dive into rudimentary coding. This role is perfect for someone who is not only organized but also eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. Key Responsibilities:

Nexus Intranet: The Workbench

Develop training videos for Intranet usage utilizing iSpring Suite, ensuring easy navigation and efficient use of the platform for all team members.

Create and maintain an FAQ and Wiki for the Intranet on Microsoft SharePoint, providing a go-to resource for common queries and information.

Develop a SharePoint Project Template, gaining hands-on experience in Microsoft SharePoint development to streamline project management processes.

Automate workflows using Microsoft Power Automate, enhancing efficiency and productivity across projects.

PIM Software Pilot

Assist in integrating NPP workflows within the new software ecosystem, ensuring seamless transition and operation.

Compile procedures for the new workflow, establishing clear and concise guidelines for project execution.

Collaborate with the Project Information Management team to develop Document Control Guidelines, including file structure, naming conventions, and document retention policies, to ensure organizational consistency and compliance.

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and some coding experience.

A strong interest in project management and information management systems.

Exceptional organizational skills, with an acute attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Eagerness to learn rudimentary coding and adapt to new project workflows and technologies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for writing and creating procedural documentation.

Versatility and openness to acquiring tangential skills outside of one's degree field, embracing a broad learning curve.

The assistant director will use extensive knowledge of Case Western Reserve University enterprise software systems to lead the development of automated processes for administrative functions of campus planning and facilities management to increase efficiency and accuracy. The assistant director will research and develop requirements for enhancements to existing database systems and data analytics software applications/visualizations, including improvements to data pipelines, data management, and data governance, to improve business efficiency and decision-making. The assistant director will also serve as the system administrator for the university-wide space management system (FM Systems), maintain space information, and provide ongoing support to campus users of the space management system through training, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the system. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the use of standardized data analytics tools to readily assess the productivity of the facilities enterprise of Case Western Reserve University for leadership at all levels.
