Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in CLEVELAND, Ohio. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for a range of tasks including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and addressing customer inquiries. The Sr. Accountant will also monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Responsibilities: Administer stock option and relocation programs. Assist with maintaining current benefit systems and implementation of new systems. Support carrier changes and annual enrollment activities and communications. Review of benefits and payroll invoicing, payment, and reconciliation. Responsible for regulatory filing and audit activity, including 5500’s and ACA reporting. Review payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees. Review supplemental payments, stock options and bonus. Process accurate and timely year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c, 1099’s-etc.). Monitor changes and remain current on legal, regulatory, or governmental requirements. Supports the preparation of required reports or payments to government agencies, insurance companies, or other organizations. Supports payroll system projects for operating units, leading HR teams to new integration, compliance, and upgrades in payroll system. Provide data, documents, reporting, and statements for company audits related to payroll and benefits. Coordinate and file CEO pay ratio data. Assist with scholarship and charitable programs. Support M& A activities. Requirements Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role. Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations is mandatory. Solid understanding and hands-on experience with general ledger and journal entries. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required. Experience with month-end close procedures. Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is essential. Expertise in benefits payroll, benefits analysis, and compensation & benefits. Knowledge of Form 5500 and financial reconciliation. Experience with ADP for payroll processing. Must possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities. Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, a Master's degree or CPA is a plus. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
