Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets customer expectations
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or culinary environment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Skills:
- Knife skills for food preparation
- Ability to help with menu planning and development
- Experience in dietary aide or culinary roles is a plus
- Familiarity with working in a dietary department or food service setting
- Knowledge of catering and meal preparation techniques
