Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a meticulous Accounting Clerk to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role primarily involves processing and managing accounting invoices, interacting with customers regarding past due or misrouted invoices, and navigating multiple accounting systems. You will be part of a dynamic team within the manufacturing industry, where accuracy and efficiency are paramount.Responsibilities: Handle a backlog of accounting invoices, ensuring they are processed accurately and in a timely manner Communicate effectively with customers regarding past due or misrouted invoices, resolving any issues that may arise Navigate and utilize multiple accounting systems effectively Use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook proficiently to manage data and communication Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure financial records are accurate Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, ensuring all financial transactions are executed properly Conduct billing tasks, ensuring all invoices are sent out to customers in a timely manner Input data accurately and efficiently, maintaining the integrity of the accounting system Process invoices using various software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Billing and Invoice Processing Demonstrated skills in Data Entry Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Oracle and SAP software Experience with QuickBooks software Previous experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar is preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Relevant certification or degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
