Description Robert Half is offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator, with a large client located in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves a blend of payroll and office duties, with some banking and tax projects. As a Payroll Administrator, you will support the banking and payroll areas, and will be expected to handle employee inquiries, maintain employee payroll records, and process employee payroll changes.Responsibilities:
Support the banking area with tasks such as check bounce backs, NOCs, and updating payment methods.
Assist with payroll duties, including updating passwords and POAs.
Handle tasks related to banking and tax projects.
Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel for various tasks.
Perform reconciliations, understanding debits and credits.
Gain experience with a cloud HCM (oracle or workday).
Use SAP or ADP systems when required.
Sort and distribute mail as part of office duties.
Requirements
Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Familiarity with various Accounting Functions
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience in Payroll processing and management
Familiarity with Payroll Taxes and related legislation
Experience with Bank Reconciliations
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Excellent problem solving/judgement skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
