Job SummaryTheTechnical Sales Manager - Thermalwill drive and support selling efforts for Vertiv’s large Thermal and Thermal Management Controls product offerings with deep technical and industry knowledge.Responsibilities:

Drive sales growth in key targeted thermal products with focus on Global Strategic Clients and large project opportunities.

Provide project strategy and leadership from initial concept development through to bid interview process to increase closure rate of these strategic projects.

Coordinate selling efforts of various offices and internal support teams to increase closure rates and margin on targeted projects.

Lead and manage development of various solutions for customer consideration to earn their basis of design.

Support budgeting and specification development to maximize success rates

Manages technical solutions for large project opportunities in support of Bid Desk Team with focus on differentiating Vertiv solutions vs competition.

Coordinate with Technical Business Development Director to support engagement with targeted Clients, Consulting Engineers, Contractors and GCs.

Provide technical support for Key Client engagements

Educate selling entities on application focused system architectures.

Represent the company and actively participate in Key Customer factory visits.

FWT Support.

Compile and Present Performance Solutions based the svarious product solutions.

Participate in account planning efforts and engagement strategies for key clients.

Delegate, and prioritize workload.

Support technical proposals, design documentation and project proposals to aid the design process and delivery to customers.

Provide sales staff with technical assistance and support for technical documentation and customer facing presentations and engagements including leading customer communications.

Attaining quota in measured categories

Assist in problem job / equipment reconciliation

Provide a role model within the company for sales department function.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline

At least three years of industry sales experience.

Technical knowledge of products and applications

Deep market dynamics and industry knowledge

Experience working on large, complex RFQ’s

Experience working with Sales Offices

Salesmanship and self-confidence to deal with frequent, stressful customer relationship issues

Sales Presentation skills
