Job Title: Shop Production Lead

Reports To: Head of Production
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and self-starting Shop Production Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on labor position within the Finishing Department that requires learning all aspects of the job, including fabrication processes and working closely with production crews. You will serve as a liaison between management and the shop, helping to bridge communication while maintaining high-quality standards.
The ideal candidate will take initiative, excel in a team environment, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication Tasks: Perform sanding, grinding, painting, caulking, and quality control (QC) tasks as required.
Job Coordination: Work under the Head of Production to manage crew tasks and production schedules.
Communication: Act as a liaison between shop floor employees and management to ensure smooth operations.
Loading: Assist with organizing and loading trailers for delivery or transport.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects meet quality standards before moving to the next stage or leaving the facility.
Shop Operations: Help maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or a related field is a plus but not required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, techniques, and processes.
Basic understanding of finishing techniques and processes (sanding, painting, etc.) is preferred.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 80 lbs.
