Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Public Safety - Main Campus - 2nd ShiftSchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:To provide maximum security possible for the hospital during normal day to day operations, as well as during emergency situations. The armed security officer provides enforcement of hospital’s security rules and regulations uniformly among patients, visitors, and hospital employees. This enforcement will be exercised in a low key, professional manner consistent with the overall hospital’s mission and values of providing health care to the children of the community. Responsible for complying with an effective hospital wide program for the surveillance, prevention, and control of infection. Responsible for complying with a safety management program designed to provide a physical environment free of hazards and to reduce the risk of human injury. This position will collaborate interdepartmentally with all divisions of the hospital. This position will provide patient transport. This position will maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to insure by the hospital’s insurance carrier. Must work to achieve OPOTA within 12 months of hire.Department Specific Job Details:Shift: 2:45PM - 11:15PM.
