Facility:Dayton Children's - South CampusDepartment:Community Based Primary CareSchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:The supervisor, supported by and in collaboration with the Operations Manager and Chief, Medical Director has authority, responsibility and accountability for the daily planning, organizing and directing all aspects of patient care for inpatients and outpatients, and assigned staff at all locations. They will be responsible for producing a highly integrated, efficient team effort by demonstration of leadership qualities and technical expertise. Establishes positive working relationships with staff and all customers serviced within and outside the hospital, to achieve high quality care for patients. Including and not limited to overseeing and regularly monitoring assigned staff to meet patient care volume/skill set needs as well as coordinating staff vacation coverage, sick call coverage, and staffing adjustments. They will have input into operating and capital budgets and be responsible to stay within the budget parameters of salaries and expenses, through efficiently managing the daily activities. Assist in interviewing and selecting candidates for open positions, provide orientation and ongoing training of all staff with timely feedback on performances and performance appraisals. Administratively processes personnel issues and communicates in a timely manner to and involves manager when appropriate. Assists staff to proactively identify and service recover patient/family needs and/or concerns in a timely manner. Maintain all skills within the scope of their practice to cover any needs. The supervisor is expected to be available for 24/7 administrative coverage to assist with any trouble shooting and or emergencies that may arise. They will also be responsible for other duties assigned by management.
