The Quality Leadership Development Program prepares you for technical and supervisory roles in the areas of manufacturing and quality within our North American plants. Reporting Relationships: The position reports to the North America Regulatory & Compliance Manager.During the co-op development program, you’ll: Perform a variety of tests, analyses, and studies related to the improvement of glass container quality.Apply your problem solving skills and knowledge of various statistical tools and methods to design studies, and conduct quality and complaint analyses.Participate in the evaluation and testing of new container designs.Work with O-I manufacturing plants and customers to investigate glass container quality and/or manufacturing issues.Conduct measurements and write reports to summarize and communicate quality analyses.Learn various facets of the plant process including: batch and furnace operations, forming machines, equipment, inspection, packaging, and quality assurance systems.Gain a well-rounded background in plant operations, customer relations, and manufacturing management. This may include travel to O-I manufacturing facilities and to O-I customers as well as regular interactions with corporate and manufacturing personnel.
