Description

Core Responsibilities:

Lead the repair team to meet Quality and On-Time-Delivery requirements.

Drive a proactive culture that identifies and reduces operational risks, including safety, delivery, and productivity.

Drive productivity through rigorous application of Lean and Value Stream tools.

Responsible for year over year cost reductions (5%) and Turn around Time reductions through the utilization of Continuous Improvement projects.

Reduce both internal and external quality escapes showing year over year improvement while introducing new products into the shop.

Work collaboratively with the repair team to develop build plans supporting delivery and inventory strategy.

Responsible to report out profit and losses as they apply to the yearly defined budget.

Responsible to keep close contact with internal and external supply chain to meet quality and delivery requirements.

Develop and maintain a detailed headcount plan and nurture cross-training/development planning.

Provide leadership support of employee selection/talent acquisition, performance management, training/development, coaching/mentoring, and motivation/engagement processes and programs in alignment with the business goals and objectives. Recognize and reward employees for their efforts to drive results the right way.

Create a continuous improvement environment where all employees are involved in Kaizen / 6-S activities, and actively contributing improvement suggestions.

Plan and control MRO manufacturing operations at lowest cost consistent with established specifications for customer quality.

Provide leadership and direction to workforce in a manufacturing environment; establish production priorities and schedules consistent with unit goals.

Maintain an on time delivery above 90%

Develop and maintain customer relationships with Barnes Aerospace values.

Qualifications:

10+ years of related operations or manufacturing experience in a supervisory position preferably in the Aerospace industry.

Strong competencies in leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, cultural awareness & organizational astuteness.

Solid understanding of Division financial system; ability to obtain, analyze and act on financial/costs initiatives.

Effectively balances consistency with flexibility and willing to change ideas in the face of new

information.

Act with integrity and the highest ethical behavior. Excellent interpersonal skills and team player approach.

A customer advocate with the skills to develop and nurture long term relationships with senior leadership at our key customers.

Proven track record of implementing and successfully executing on employee relations strategies and building a positive work environment.

Solid computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to follow complex instructions and/or directions.

Attention to detail and analytical approach is necessary, as well as demonstrated oral ability to present information effectively in group and one-on-one settings.

Education Requirements:

BS Degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Logistics or related field required.
