INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE

Primary Function:

Under the direction of the Plant Managers and Building Supervisor, is responsible for industrial maintenance and repair of paint systems and related equipment; buildings and related facilities and; perform related work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain proper operating parameters of all paint equipment.

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on paint application and related equipment.

Maintains and repairs heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.

Conduct preventive maintenance on devices and systems. Maintain hand and power tools associated with mechanics, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.

Maintain good housekeeping and observe safety policies.

Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

Thorough knowledge of paint, paint equipment, and the application process.

Skill to perform math calculations.

Ability to establish priorities and work independently

Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems

Use a common sense approach to everyday duties.

Perform job working as a team with co-workers.

Physical Requirements / Activities:

Work with and around paint, solvents, and paint overspray.

Physically able to wear a paint spray respirator or equivalent if required.

Walking, balancing, standing, turning, stooping, crouching, sitting, reaching, lifting (at least 50 pounds minimum regularly), carrying, pushing, handling, feeling, hearing, seeing, color vision, depth perception. Work involves lifting and carrying items (weighing approximately 90 pounds) bending, stooping, s and climbing ladders.

Special Requirements:

Willing to work overtime as requested by Supervisor or Management.

Duties assigned to this position include transporting, clean up and removal of hazardous waste. Training required for this position includes hazardous waste management procedures, hazardous waste contingency plan implementation, emergency procedures, and emergency equipment operation. Training will be conducted at initial assignment of duties and annually thereafter.

Salary: $25.00 - 30.00/hour (based upon experience)
