The Director of Quality is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems that ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products and exceptional customer experience. This role drives a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and operational excellence by partnering cross-functionally across manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering. The position oversees regulatory compliance and leads initiatives to improve overall quality performance and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Strategy & LeadershipDefine and execute site quality strategy aligned with global standards and regional objectivesLead the Quality organization, including Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Lab/Testing, and Quality SystemsEstablish and monitor KPIs to measure quality performance and drive accountabilityPromote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-makingPartner cross-functionally to develop and deploy quality improvement initiativesOperational Quality ExcellenceEnsure robust quality control processes across manufacturing operationsDrive adherence to Bosch Production System (BPS) and Lean/Six Sigma methodologiesLead initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, rework, and customer returnsEnsure quality readiness for new product launches (APQP, PPAP, process validation)Customer & Supplier QualityServe as primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and lead resolution (8D)Monitor and improve customer satisfaction metrics (PPM, complaints, warranty trends)Collaborate with Supplier Quality to manage supplier performance and issue resolutionBuild strong partnerships with customers and suppliers to drive proactive improvementsQuality Systems & ComplianceEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable regulatory standardsMaintain audit readiness and lead internal and external auditsOversee quality documentation (control plans, FMEAs, SOPs, work instructions)Ensure adherence to corporate policies and governance frameworksCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure “quality at source”Support capital projects, automation, and digital transformation initiativesIntegrate quality early in product and process design (DfX principles)Contribute to strategic planning, cost optimization, and capacity expansion effortsData, Analytics & Continuous ImprovementUtilize data and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Minitab, SAP) to identify trends and improvement opportunitiesLead root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured methodologies (8D, DMAIC)Drive continuous improvement aligned with plant and divisional goalsChampion Industry 4.0 and digital quality initiativesKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Customer PPM and warranty cost reductionInternal defect rate and cost of poor qualityAudit performance (internal and external)Timely resolution of quality issuesSupplier quality performance
