Job SummaryProvides technical support for Corporate Reserves and the broader Resource and Portfolio team. Primarily responsible for working on projects related to our Aries database, reserve report, and other Corporate Reserves functions. A successful candidate will also actively seek out and generate new and innovative ways to retrieve, visualize and analyze data, automate manual processes, and produce data-driven insights for the team and others across the organization.Serves as a resource within Resource Development and guides others in resolving complex issues; may lead functional teams or projects. Contributes to process improvements and supports Corporate Reserves and Resource Development teams’ engineers and management. Provides process training for team members. Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and practices in the area of specialization. Identifies possible solutions for problems/issues of diverse scope using existing solutions. Works under general supervisionDuties and Responsibilities

Support and advise Corporate Reserves, Portfolio, and Resource Development analysis, tools, and processes

Document best practices and capture knowledge of existing Resource and Portfolio analyst/specialist tasks

Maintain Continental’s ARIES database

Perform ARIES software and database testing related to structural changes and software upgrades

Collaborate with varying levels of engineers and management on data gathering, analysis, and communication of results

Provide Subject Matter Expertise to various business units and disciplines around Aries software application and reserves/resource development

Data Management & Analytics

QA / QC Corporate Reserves and Resource Development data

Implement automated solutions to streamline manual processes

Leverage complex datasets to build visualizations and tools

Personal commitment to inclusion and diversity

Skills and Competencies

Knowledge of reserves and economics subject matter within the oil and gas industry

Understanding of database applications, data structures, integration principles, and techniques

Run Aries application and work with the underlying database

Leverage Microsoft 365 and other productivity applications

Use Spotfire to build and enhance tools using data from a variety of sources

Manage data from internal and industry sources

Detail-Oriented

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of five (5) years' experience within the Oil and Gas industry working as an Engineering Specialist, Engineering Tech, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, IT Analyst or related role

Advanced skills using ARIES Petroleum Economic software

Intermediate skills using Microsoft Excel and Access

Intermediate skills within Spotfire with the ability to use existing projects, inherit and enhance existing projects, and create new projects from scratch leveraging multiple data sources

An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Information Science/Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a similar degree.

Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and Access

Intermediate skills using Databricks software

Intermediate skills in SQL

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, and stooping.

Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Manual dexterity is sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

The teams of inventory managers administer support for over 22,407 operational National Stock Numbers (NSN) and 8,402 Facilities & Equipment NSN\'s.
