Position Description:Process Improvement ConsultantThis position can be located in Tulsa, OKC, El Paso, or Austin Metro areasJob Posting End Date: This job posting will be removed on August 16, 2024.As the Process Improvement Consultant, you will join a team of professionals to work on strategic, high profile process improvement projects to solve problems and improve how we do business. Successful candidates will have the ability and passion to solve complex problems, use strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting, possess process improvement and project management knowledge / experience, have good initiative and the ability to work independently with little supervision, and use a collaborative mindset to connect people and ideas. Any formal process improvement training and / or certifications and relevant industry experience will be beneficial. This position will work a hybrid schedule in one of our metro office locations.What You Will DoProvides direction, coordination, training, and support to business process owners and process improvement teams in development and implementation of business process improvements. Develop process improvement project plans, charters and scope of work.Direct and facilitate activities with business process owners, quality assurance committee, and division management related to the following:

Define and analyze primary business processes

Identify key processes for review

Conduct gap analyses

Develop strategies

Mapping processes

Perform process analyses

Develop measurements and improvements for processes

Implement changes

Identify business requirements needed to support process improvements. Coordinate related work with internal and external support groups to ensure business process and technology improvements satisfy requirements and strategic plans.Select process improvement team members to ensure experience and skill levels are appropriate for process to be reviewed. Lead and coordinate activities of process improvement teams to ensure ready access to personnel, facilities, and documentation needed to implement business process improvements.Monitor industry and company best practices; provide recommendations regarding implementation of business process and/or technology improvements.Maintain ongoing communications with process improvement teams, quality assurance committee, division management, and others relative to process improvement activities.Provide training to business process owners and process improvement teams in process improvement methodology, analysis, documentation, and reporting.Evaluate and approve reports and correspondence including:

Process charts

Training plans

Progress reports

Budgets and expenses

Statistical data

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.What You Will NeedMinimum bachelor's degree business administration, management, engineering, or other related field with experience in process improvement methodologiesExperience researching, planning, and reviewing processes and preparing related recommendations and documentation.Experience leading others in process reviews, business analyses, and/or special projects including defining business requirements and developing strategies to improve work flow.Experience with the application of math and statistical methods.Experience in use and function of office equipment including enterprise database applications, computers, and applicable software.Experience and training relative to:

Process improvement methods such as Lean Six Sigma

Process mapping methods

Project Management phases and methodologies in accordance with Project Management Institute (PMBOK)

Develop and analyze applicable metrics

Train-the-trainers skills

Microsoft Office Suite applications

Working knowledge of company organizational structure.

PMP certification is a plus.Experience researching, analyzing, compiling, and/or preparing information such as progress reports, process charts and procedures, budgets, training materials, and correspondence.Experience negotiating, interacting, advising, and communicating effectively.Experience reading and interpreting company procedures, manuals, governmental regulations, charts and graphs, contracts, and correspondence.Experience leading, directing, and training.Experience developing information, conducting meetings, and making formal presentations.Read and write fluently in English.Requires completion of courses toward accreditation in Six Sigma Process Improvement and other process improvement methodology as required by Company.Requires mobility to travel in and around office facilities and to other company locations.Communicate and exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations and meetings.Visual ability to perform job responsibilities.Diversity at ONE GasInclusion & Diversity is so important to us that we made it one of our core values, values that guide and direct our actions as we go about our daily business.
