RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Beaverton, OR that is seeking a Data Visualization Engineer. In this role, the Data Visualization Engineer will develop and implement robust data visualization and dashboarding solutions to enable business decisions, drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
The Data Visualization Engineer will deliver reporting within Tableau Server Environment and support end-consumers
Create and maintain insightful and action-oriented visualization solutions in the form of advanced dashboards and workbooks using Snowflake, SQL, Tableau and other BI tools
Collaborate with other departments to capture requirements and execute these through iterative development approaches
Grow and improve the company's global digital commerce Operations' analytics, reporting and visualization architecture and solutions
Facilitate, enable and expand self-service capabilities across the Global organization
Continuously improve data architecture by analyzing issues, discovering root causes and providing sustainable high-quality solutions
Facilitate the planning, scheduling and value measurement of the work to meet timeline targets and success criteria
Support the adoption of analytic products through effective storytelling and collaboration with key partners
The Data Visualization Engineer will participate in a continuous learning environment within the analytics community through persistent development of new skills and sharing of knowledge through mentorships and contributions to the open source community
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering and/or related field
2+ years of relevant experience developing dashboards, data visualization and self-service tools
Experience with data extraction and analysis technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL or similar tools
Broad knowledge of data visualization approaches
Portfolio of work that demonstrates detailed attention to organization of information, typography, and color
Experience creating UI mocks and doing rapid prototyping of those mocks
In-depth understanding of the Agile principles and methodologies and how they're applied in workplace culture
Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with management, technical peers, and business stakeholders
Strong project management capabilities to manage multiple project streams and complexity; propensity for thinking through projects in a process oriented way
Enjoy finding relationships between disparate data sets and clarity in a muddied data environment
Know that customer experience is as important to delivering value as the underlying functionality of the product
Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment; Excited by the challenge of building something from the ground up
Ask good questions, are continually learning as well as finding opportunities to share knowledge with others
