Inside Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing Position

D&S Hydraulics Inc., is excited to announce a full-time inside sales/purchasing job opportunity, rare to Central Oregon! We are a 40 year old well established and successful organization. Work for a local, family owned, operated and trusted northwest heavy equipment hydraulic and machine shop. Looking for someone who has excellent communication skills behind the counter and phone, have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently. Be comfortable making dozens of phone calls throughout the day and able to meet deadlines for the shop mechanics and walk-in clients. Applicant is able to work in a fast paced environment and has great problem solving skills, and gets along well in a team environment. THIS IS A LONG TERM CAREER WITH MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITY.
Hours: Monday - Friday (overtime is common), no weekends
Benefits: This is a fully benefited position that includes; paid medical/dental, company contributing 401K, vacation and bonuses.
Functions, Duties, Responsibilities
- Front counter customer service & incoming phone calls.
- Purchasing of inventory, parts and shop supplies
- Shipping & Receiving (UPS, Truck Freight Logistics, USPS, etc.)
- Operate Forklift
- Pick-up/deliver parts orders for client & vendors
- Operate company POS software and Microsoft Office Programs to issue PO's, Invoices, open Jobs and research internal information.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Performing some manual labor and heavy lifting
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Basic Understanding /Knowledge of Microsoft and Windows programs
- Great communication skills and etiquette
- Experience in the Hydraulic and or heavy equipment industry is a plus.
- Solid and punctual work ethic
- People skills, Data entry skills, Customer focus, Professionalism
- Managing Processes, Inventory control, Reporting skills, Analyzing information, Good judgment
- Previous counter sales and / or purchasing experience preferred
