Hourly DOE + Tip Pool (typically $8-$10/hour)
We are looking to grow our culinary leadership at our location in the Old Mill, Bend. Our cafe focuses on serving quality and convenient breakfast items all day: breakfast sandwiches, toasts, burritos, bagels, scones & muffins and more! The Sisters Old Mill crew is a dedicated and high-energy team that works closely together.
The back-of-house team at this quick-service cafe is responsible for working the line, daily food prep and bakery operations. All team members share the responsibility for dishes and keeping a clean and organized workspace. The Culinary Manager works closely with the Regional Chefs to ensure food and bakery operations are efficient, meet all quality standards and provide an excellent experience to our guests.
We are seeking a full-time manager to help our current team meet the demands of our high volume kitchen. This position requires availability daily between 5am - 4pm and on weekends is important. The position includes administrative tasks, prep work, line coverage and light baking. No evening or late night shifts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership, Food Quality and Preparation
Ongoing Team Management and Daily Leadership, Scheduling and Hiring
Quality control of all product prep and production
Assigned shifts for Prep, Line & Bakery Operations as needed
Ordering, Inventory and Vendor Management
Willingness to take on any tasks necessary in the daily kitchen flow
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Able to work 4-8 hour shifts while standing or walking for extended periods of time.
Able to work a flexible schedule - typical shifts are between 5am and 4pm - including mornings, weekends (required), and holidays.
Able to grasp, lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
Able to maneuver effectively at both high (step stools/ladders) and low levels around the kitchen, restaurant, office, and up/downstairs.
Requirements
At least 1-2 years of leadership experience in a commercial kitchen (line and/or baking experience is helpful but not required)
Valid Oregon Food handlers card or ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire
Willingness to work both week and weekend days with shifts scheduled between 5am and 4pm. Must have availability on weekends. (Typically leadership splits weekend days)
