Our company culture is caring and hard working! We are seeking an experienced and motivated person that is proficient with and experienced and willing to operate various pieces of heavy equipment. Medium to large class excavators is most preferred and desired.
The qualified applicant will be expected to work full time with optional and sometimes needed overtime/weekends on various projects. Project types vary from some public/prevailing wage to site development/infrastructure/commercial work. Applicant would be on different projects in the central Oregon region! Position qualifications and requirements:
3+ years experience in the excavation industry as an operator
Have and maintain safe work practices and project cleanliness and equipment
Must have Valid drivers license and dependable transportation
GPS experience (not required but helpful)
Must have basic understanding on survey staking and blueprint/plan reading
Must have experience with lasers and grade checking
Must have experience and understanding in mainline (sewer/water/storm) pipe laying/backfilling/mainline trench installation
Be willing and skilled for occasional use of shovel and hand tools (hot saw/ concrete saw etc)
Skilled with excavators from mini to large class (control style-type optional)
Skilled with hydra hammer operation (preferable)
Skilled with wheel loaders
Skilled with backhoes
Skilled with compaction equipment (rollers/compactors etc)
Maintain good personal hygiene
Be quality, safety and production minded
Be able to occasionally work overtime and weekends
Be willing to help assist with basic general labor operations occasionally
Skilled and good understanding with basic daily service requirements on equipment
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be physically capable of getting in and out of deep excavations/trenches
Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
