Benco is hiring for an experienced female (BFOQ) Direct Support Professional.
Would you like to work with an adult female who is caring, funny, creative and outgoing?
This is your chance to provide 1:1 support and advocate for a person with intellectual and developmental disabilities in her home.
This person enjoys community activities, games and crafts and likes her caregiver to have a sense of humor.
Set schedules available:
Full-time Saturday – Wednesday 7a-3p = 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits.
Full-time Monday – Friday 3p-9a = 30 hours per week. Eligible for benefits.
Part-time Thursday, Friday 7a-3p and Saturday, Sunday 3p-9p = 28 hours per week.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would be experienced in the IDD field; have emotional maturity; be skilled at handling challenging situations; and know how to develop trust and respect with the support they provide.
The applicant must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
Wages and Raises:
Wage DOE $18.00 to $22.08/hr. Capped at $29.84/hr.
Benco offers raises every 6 months for the first 2 years and annually thereafter if the employee has not reached the cap for that position. Raises are: 3% 6-months,5% 1-year, 3% 1.5-years, 5% 2-years and 6% thereafter until the cap is reached for that position.

The program offers to elevate the status of Direct Support Professionals by improving practice standards, promoting system reform, and advancing their knowledge, skills, and values. Furthermore, offering the control to increase your wages as you complete each credentialing program if you have not reached the CAP for that position
