About this position:
This Staff Accountant reports to the Controller. The staff accountant will be actively involved in all areas of accounting to include General Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, etc. The selected candidate must exhibit flexibility and willingness to work in all aspects of the department as the company grows and needs change. This position will also perform back-up roles within the accounting team as well as other office and accounting tasks.
You will be responsible for:
Daily Cash and credit card reconciliation
Month end journal entries
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Fixed asset monitoring and tracking
Personal Property Tax returns
Preparation of various monthly and quarterly tax compliance requirements
Assist with budget process
Assist with year end tax preparation
Special Projects as assigned
Experience:
Associate’s degree in accounting required
Working knowledge of AR, AP, Payroll and General Accounting concepts
Excellent problem-solving skills
Superb attention to detail skills
Great organization, time management and prioritization
Advanced worksheet skills (Excel, Google Sheets)
Engages in process improvement activities while improving accuracy and efficiency
Effective communication skills; including speaking, writing and active listening
Great customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently or as a team in a fast-paced environment
