DescriptionA reputable Eugene company has a full time temporary need (approximately 2+ months) for an Administrative Assistant to handle all administrative support for a busy department. It is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a wonderful company. The Administrative Assistant responsibilities will include heavy scheduling and calendar management in Outlook, preparing and compiling information for meetings, taking minutes, organizing and executing follow up actions, generating reports and data from company database. The Administrative Assistant will create reports and presentations and will also assist with projects, tracking information in Excel, editing and proofing documents and other general clerical support. The successful Administrative Assistant will have strong scheduling and calendar management experience along with solid writing, communication and organizational skills and the ability to multitask. Two or more years in an Administrative Assistant role along with the ability to work with confidential information and advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook are required. At least 2+ year of Administrative Assistant experience preferred
Manage calendar and schedule meetings
Prepare and compile information for meetins, take minutes, organize and execute follow up actions
Create reports and presentations
Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
Skills in internet research
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Quality experience with editing
Good understanding of Microsoft Access
Previous experience working with email
Wide ranging experience with calendar managements and scheduling appointments
Experience with Microsoft Word
Earlier work involving new employee orientation
Internet experience required
Comprehension of composing various kinds of correspondence
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Practical knowledge of filing
Skills in prooing
Scanning experience
Solid understanding of copying
General familiarity with conference room setup & cleanup
Deep understanding of records maintenance
Experience with MS Outlook
Well-founded grasp of reviewing documents for spelling and grammar
