Claim 52 Brewing is looking for a line cook to work at The Kitchen in Downtown Eugene. The right candidate has experience in either high volume or fine dining, can work 6-7 hour shifts, is quick on their feet, move independently, communicate tickets, and hold a high standard for the food they produce. They must be able to take direction, multi-task, and work in a professional manner while remaining clean and organized. Experience is a must. Evening and Weekend availability prefered. Full and Part-Time Available, employee choice.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare a variety of foods utilizing the proper equipment effectively in accordance to Claim 52’s standardized recipes.

Assumes responsibility for quality of products served.

Knows and complies consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.

Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products to assure a smooth service period.

Portions food product prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.

Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, fryers, ovens, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.

Follows proper plate presentation set up for all dishes.

Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.

Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.

Closes kitchen properly and follows closing checklist. Assist others in closing the kitchen.

Follows cleaning guidelines and completes cleaning duties.

Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or management.

Skills, Experience & Job Requirements:

A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking

At least 6 months experience in a fast-paced environment

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively

Be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time

Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
