All Star Labor and Staffing is currently looking for reliable, hardworking candidates to work in the Green Chain Department of a lumber mill located in the Springfield area.
Schedule: 6am-3pm, Mon-Fri.
Pay Rate: $18.00an Hr.
Job Purpose:
Primary responsibilities include ensuring that the lumber is pulled off the green chain into the correct load using proper pulling techniques. Standing on a catwalk and pull lumber off chain onto carts using proper pulling techniques. Catching sticks and put in
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Physically Demanding- Must be able to lift 50lbs
Keel work area clean and safe from debris and trip hazards
Run breakdown hoist
Stick and de-stick lumber
Tarp and untarp lumber
Banding and packing units of lumber
General clean up
Willingness to learn different product types and sizes to place accordingly
Teamwork in fast-paced environment
Banding/Packaging
Running Hulu saw to trim down lumber
Safety monitor wood that is on conveyer to be chipped
Help other departments when positions are slow
Tally, Banding, Packaging
Other duties as assigned.
