Job Title: Superintendent - Steel Erection
Location: Oregon Steel Fabrication, Eugene, Oregon
Pay Range: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Position Overview:
As a Superintendent for Steel Erection, you will oversee and coordinate the steel erection operations on-site to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field crews to execute erection plans and address any challenges that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate steel erection activities on-site, including the assembly and installation of structural steel components.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to review project plans and specifications, and provide input on project scheduling and logistics.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
- Manage and lead field crews, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and efficient operations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment and promote a culture of safety.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, and incident reports.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the steel erection or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of steel erection techniques, safety practices, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel erection, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
