Crane Equipment Manufacturing Corporation, manufacturer of Grizzly Cranes, a well-established heavy equipment component and attachment manufacturer rebuild and repair facility is looking for an experienced and competent manual machinist. Open since 1977 and now under NEW Management/Ownership. Environment offers multiple areas to excel in a job shop atmosphere. The position being offered is full time, Monday through Friday 7:00am-4:30pm, with an hour of overtime daily.
Must be proficient in setup and operation of jigs and fixtures. Must be dependable, reliable and superior work ethic. Basic mechanic skills and labor are required with strong tool theory. Accuracy efficiency, and quality are a must. Looking for manual experience NOT CNC machinist experience. Company is family oriented, offers many benefits and requires a motivated team player. Employee is expected to uphold high quality and attention to detail, the company is known for. Hydraulic skills are a plus. We are looking for full time, long term employment only! Experience is a must, and pay is to be determined on level of experience.
1. Job requires experience with manual lathes, vertical and horizontal mills, drill press, band saws, most related equipment and tooling.
2. Must have own basic supply of measuring tools, supplies and small hand tools related to trade.
3. Need to be proficient with the use of all related measuring equipment and tooling.
4. Knowledge in single point thread ID & OD
5. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
6. Must speak English and have valid driver's license.
7. Able to utilize established procedures for machining components.
8. Ability to know/learn all aspects of heavy equipment manufacturing, manual lathe, and milling operations.
9. Lathe, milling, drill press, tool & die maintenance and repair preferred.
10. Understand and comprehend tool theory.
11. Hydraulic experience is a plus.
12. Flexibility with tasks at hand given by supervisor.
