Sales and Showroom Assistant needed for Super Cool Company in Springfield, Oregon!
Founded in 2006, we are Urban Lumber Company and we specialize in creating large natural edge slabs and fine handcrafted furnishings from sustainably salvaged city street trees. Our furniture showcases monumental scale, live edges, and unique detailed grains. With each piece we build, we emphasize and take pride in sharing the inherent natural beauty of reclaimed Pacific Northwest Woods.
This is a rare opportunity ( first time the position has been open in 7-years) to join a dynamic and seasoned company that values hard work and life balance.
The Sales and Showroom Manager will be a confident individual who enjoys interacting with our diverse client base which includes residential, designer and commercial clients who are located nationwide. If you love design, the scent of leather and wood, the sounds of a busy 30,000 square foot shop, or just appreciate beautiful handcrafted furniture, this is the place for you!
Basic skills and responsibilities include
Ensure showroom is kept to company standards ( gorgeous)
Ability to achieve set sales goals ( Monthly and quarterly bonus opportunity)
Ability to identify and engage with prospective clients
Research upcoming businesses and partnership opportunities on a local, state and national level
Ability to absorb extensive product knowledge
Negotiate sales with customers
Exceptional communication skills
Use of Trello, Google and other platforms
Updating Trello on a daily basis with project updates
Reviewing ‘Project Forms’ before they are live in the shop
Receiving payments
Drafting proposals and creating invoices via Quickbooks
Setting up all shipping
Selecting and pulling slab options for clients (usually to help close a sale)
Facilitate tree salvage opportunities
Scheduling and billing for custom milling services
Directing calls as needed, checking and filing mail and receipts
Updating the ‘Showroom Sales’ and ‘Status Report’ spreadsheets
Drafting cold emails to prospective clients
Keeping in contact with current and past customers
