This is an on-call relief caregiver position for an AFH with care up to 5 residents. The applicant must assist clients with eating, personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, transferring, ambulation, and other activities of daily living. Must be able to work independently, answer phones, follow instructions, and perform delegated nursing tasks. Must also prepare and serve nutritious meals, administer medications, maintain a clean living environment through housekeeping, and laundry. Carry out activity programs and weekly menus. Must be able to recognize abnormal health findings and communicate that to the licensee and primary care provider.
This position is on-call ONLY and may include shifts from a few hours up to 72 hours. May also include sleeping overnight shifts.
Pay is $500 per month PLUS $20 per hour on covered shifts. Must accept 90% of on call requests to qualify for $500 monthly payment.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to pass a background check
Possess physical health, mental health, good judgment, and good personal character, in order to provide care for the elderly
Demonstrate the ability to comprehend and communicate in English orally and in writing.
Have and maintain current CPR and First Aid certification
