Greetings. My mother is 87 years young, she has advanced dementia, she in a memory care facility near the Bonaventure. She was a flight attendant for 40 years, she still has a great personality but can be grumpy, advanced dementia.
I am looking for a personal caregiver that will:
1.) Keep her company.
2.) The basics: make sure she is wearing warm enough clothes, make sure she has enough toilet paper, the room temperature is ok, play her jazz music, give her treats (provided). Help with hygiene, wash/soak her feet once a week (gloves provided), with dementia they say, wash one body part per day, brushing teeth, patience & kindness is key She has ongoing pain in her knees, back & butt, she has an infrared heat pad & gentle massage would be great, I massage her every time I see her. Laundry; clothes & sheets. Take her for a walk for fresh air outside if she feels like it. Light cleaning but emphasis is in keeping her company and caring for the basics
Hours are flexible, last caregiver did 3 hours a day Tuesday - Saturday and she would arrive anywhere from 11am to 4 pm.
I would like days to be Tuesday - Saturday, flexible for the right person.
My mother is Hispanic, a plus if you speak Spanish.
I live very close to my mother and visit often.
