Job Title: Assistant Farm Manager
Reports To: Farm Manager
Company Overview: Siskiyou Sungrown is a premium cannabis and hemp company headquartered in Grants Pass. We have two licensed Tier-2 recreational cannabis farms in Williams Oregon. We operate a regenerative farm using all organic inputs. We strive to create some of the best cannabis in Oregon using the most sustainable methods. Our branded oils and tinctures are found in hundreds of dispensaries around Oregon, and our hemp products are found in over 18 states and counting.
Job Overview: The assistant farm manager is responsible for assisting all operations on the farm which changes depending on the season. A heavy emphasis is placed on plant health, propagation, cloning, fertigation, irrigation system management, soil science, and more. This is a physical job that is dynamic and changing day to day as the needs of the farm change.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist Farm Manager with oversight of farm laborers
Manage and oversee plant health using existing protocols
Feed, water, and spray plants as needed
Keep detailed and organized records of all activity on the farm
Keep a clean and organized work site at all times
Maintain equipment at the farm including tractor, ATV, implements, trimming machines, and more.
Maintain irrigation system covering 5 acres. Fixing components as necessary
Acting as crew lead for many manual processes including planting, harvesting, and trimming.
Follow all OLCC rules and regulations
Maintain a safe workplace for yourself and others
Follow the direction of superiors at all times.
Qualifications:
4+ years of farming experience
3 + years experience with tractors and farm equipment
3+ years of experience with irrigation systems
Ability to work long hours in all weather conditions
Strong work ethic - Good Attitude - Willing to learn
Ability to work sober, all day, every day (we dont allow cannabis use during work hours)
Ability to take direction, follow instructions, and stick to the plan.
Cannabis experience not required.
