Storage facility looking for a full-time Storage Assistant
Local storage facility is looking for a fulltime assistant to do groundskeeping, cleaning, as well as assist customers and fill in inside the office when the manager is gone.
Outside duties include but not limited to - keeping drive aisles clean, washed and free of trash and debris, cleaning vacated units, washing storage unit doors, mopping hallways, climbing ladders to check gutters and downspouts free of blockages, roof checks, weed control both inside and outside of the facility fencing, pest control throughout the facility, and routine safety checks.
Other duties include but not limited to, assisting customers when needed, learning the facility software, showing and renting storage spaces, taking payments, answering phones, assist with opening and closing the facility each day, cleaning and stocking the facility restroom, as well as any items needed by the manager.
Scheduled work week: Monday-Friday. Must be flexible to cover a Saturday when needed. Also, needs to be willing to fill in as needed when the manager is on vacation, sick or away for company training. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Looking for someone that will work outside, whether it’s hot, cold, sunny or raining, has the foresight to see tasks that need to be worked on and to complete them without being told. We want someone who takes pride in his or her work. We are looking for someone with good communication skills and can work independently but also as a team member.
Basic computer knowledge is required.
Must be a high school graduate or have a GED and be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Have valid driver’s license and your own reliable transportation.
Must be able to successfully pass a hiring background screening which includes Criminal, DMV, Medical and Drug (including THC).
The facility is drug and smoke free.
This IS NOT a live on-site position.
Pay Range $34,000-36,400 Annually – (rate of pay based on experience)
