Department: Back of House
Schedule: This is an exempt /salaried position with a full-time and variable schedule that will include nights, weekends, holidays, and any other times of peak pub sales volumes.
Essential Functions:
Helping ensure compliance and training for all BOH employees in all company policies and standards, with emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and hygiene
Ordering and/or assisting the Executive Chef in the ordering of all kitchen products/materials; assisting with invoice maintenance
Assisting with BOH inventory tasks. Assisting the Executive Chef and HR in handling grievances and mediating issues
Regularly assisting in the preparation of and participating in BOH staff performance reviews and training events
Demonstrate leadership on days when the Executive Chef is away
Making decisions in the moment, filling in product gaps, and any schedule gaps that arise
Who We Are Looking For:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid Food Handler’s card required (may be obtained within 30 days from first date of employment)
Ability to read labels on chemicals
Knowledge of workplace and safety procedures (may be obtained during training)
Ability to communicate with patrons, purveyors, and coworkers
Basic math competency including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and computation of rates, ratios, and percentages
Being able to adapt to frequent changes in workload and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
