Position: Accounting Specialist
Location: Eagle Creek, Oregon
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate records.
Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate customer invoices, manage collections, and reconcile accounts.
Payroll Processing: Administer payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and timely employee compensation.
Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
General Ledger Maintenance: Record journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with federal and state regulations.
Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
