Bookkeeper / Office Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our company’s financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The ideal candidate will ensure that our financial transactions are accurate and in compliance with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and statements.

Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.

Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Manage payroll and ensure accurate and timely processing.

Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.

Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Collaborate with external accountants for tax preparation and audits.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

Proficiency in MS Office (e.g., Excel, Word).

Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.

Screen phone calls and route callers to the appropriate party

Greet and assist visitors.

Manage and update company databases.
