Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant, Toddler and Preschool Teacher, to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality education and care to our infant and toddler program children, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported in their learning journey. We are a Christian based program and feel this needs to be integrated into the daily routines.
Duties
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards with a Christan based alignment.
Foster a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Assess children's progress through observational methods to inform curriculum development.
Provide early intervention strategies for children who may need additional support in their learning.
Promote literacy education through interactive reading sessions and activities that enhance language skills.
Organize physical education activities that encourage movement, coordination, and healthy habits.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom activities.
Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
Requirements
Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
Or CDA associated in Child Development.
Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is essential with at least 750 hours of qualifying teaching experience in the appropriate age level.
Or 1500 hours of qualifying teaching experience in registered Family or Certified Childcare.
Or a step 6 in ORO, or 9 quarter credits in two CKCs.
Strong knowledge of curriculum development and early childhood education best practices.
Familiarity with early intervention strategies is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
Ability to create a positive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of children.
A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
Must have or be able to obtain First aid/CPR, food handlers, and pass a CBR background check.
