This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work from both home and the office.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and Meetings

Lead weekly tactical meetings, monthly strategic sessions, and quarterly in-person gatherings to drive team alignment and strategy

Organize events to enhance team effectiveness and collaboration

Project Management

Oversee comprehensive project management activities to ensure project success

Manage dependencies across projects for seamless integration and timely delivery

Identify and mitigate risks, inform the team of potential impacts, and handle escalations effectively

Enforce accountability and responsibility among project members to ensure timely and quality deliverables

Evaluate tradeoffs to balance competing project demands and optimize resource allocation

Communication and Documentation

Lead communication efforts at all levels, ensuring all team members are well-informed and engaged

Develop and maintain clear, transparent documentation to provide clarity and direction

Ensure team members have a clear understanding of their tasks, timelines, and methods

Process Improvement

Identify and address process gaps and inefficiencies to enhance productivity and streamline workflows

Drive continuous improvement and innovation across all project activities

Business Operations and Leadership

Gain a comprehensive understanding of business operations to drive informed decision-making and optimize performance

Influence and lead without direct authority by building strong relationships and trust

Cultivate a culture of vigilance, resiliency, and high-quality standards

Minimum Qualifications

8 years of experience in Program/Project Management

Proficiency with project tools such as Airtable, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Jira, and Confluence Wiki

Familiarity with Agile methodologies

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $129,900 and $210,100. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.   • Summary About the Position: You will serve as the Navigation Divisions key advisor on issues involving the operations and maintenance of the District\'s floating plant and facilities. As Physical Support Manager of the Navigation Division, is primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance of all floating plants. Works under the very general direction of the Chief, Navigation Division. Responsibilities May serve as the deputy to chief, Navigation Division. Coordinate scheduling of Portland District hopper dredges for project in other districts. Serves as a member of the West Coast Hopper Dredge Planning committee. Direct preparation of detailed budget, schedule, initial prioritization of items, and execution of the floating plant work . Make periodic inspection of field activities for compliance with dredging orders, and plans. Direct studies, investigations, and procurement to utilize state of art methods and equipment to continually improve management of floating plants. Direct the operation of repair shops and boatyards used to perform shop and field repair of plant and equipment. Supervise engineering of floating plant including the planning, design, cost estimating and the contract administration in connection with major repairs, modification and improvement. Conduct personnel administration through subordinate supervisors Assign work and participate in selection committees for placement and promotion of employees to subordinate supervisory positions. Assist in the development of the preparation of plans for dredging maintenance program for the floating plant.
