Research, analyze, develop and implement new strategies, programs, and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions.Responsibilities Provide consultation to management regarding HR strategies, services, and processes. Partner with management and other HR representatives on all aspects of human resources, including but not limited to recruitment, interviewing, selection, employee relations, compensation, benefits, disability, workforce planning, organizational design, and policy review. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with assigned client groups. Proactively identify issues and participate in the implementation of problem solving strategies with assigned client groups and human resources staff. Serve as an advocate to assigned client groups and as an advisor and/or mentor to other human resources staff. Conduct special studies, investigations and analyses and present findings and recommendations to management. Research, analyze, develop and implement new strategies, programs, and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions. Communicate with and advise management and other stakeholders on industry, legal and business changes. Provide advice and counsel to management and client organizations regarding HR matters. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Provide clients with data and risk analysis as well as operational strategies in addressing HR issues including affirmative action and diversity. Investigate and evaluate complex employee relations situations, including those that arise through internal and external complaints, develop creative alternatives, and provide recommendations. Attracting and retaining top talent, maintaining a strong organizational culture, and understanding business functions Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource management, Industrial Relations, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of seven years of experience in Human Resources, or five years of experience in human resources or employment law if the candidate possesses a JD. Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local government employment laws and regulation. Ability to conduct investigations, with an emphasis on documentation and process to ensure fair assessment of discipline and consistent policy application across the company. Ability to independently prioritize assignments and respond to rapidly changing priorities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees which establish trust, maintain confidence, and understand social behavior and interactions. Knowledge of research, analysis, and consulting techniques. Project management and leadership skills. Experience speaking in front of employee groups including presenting and conducting training sessions. Program design skills including development of interventions, processes, or new or modified programs to meet customer needs. Proficient with the use of personal computers and associated software to gather, analyze, and summarize data. Ability to work with all organizational levels to influence actions and negotiate outcomes. Travel may be required.Preferences
