Art Glass Production

HOT, NOISY, TOUGH, TEAM-ORIENTED. LEARN TO CAST MOLTEN GLASS: IT WILL DAZZLE YOUR FRIENDS AND TERRIFY YOUR ENEMIES! NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

Join a 50-year legacy of supplying the world with art glass that appears in museums, cathedrals, parks, courthouses, hospitals—even the US Capitol Dome. Locally owned and operated since 1974, Bullseye Glass Co. is a growing company that has always worked shoulder-to-shoulder with artists and architects, uniting creativity and industry, inspiration and perspiration.

Bullseye is seeking a full-time day shift caster for Tekta—the transparent sheet glass incorporated in many art glass projects. If you’re a safety-conscious, high-stamina team player who feels inspired to contribute to one of Portland’s original art-driven companies, please apply.

You’ll be part of a four-person team that makes large-scale glass sheets used in the art and architecture market. That means you’ll help transfer molten glass from a furnace to a rolling mill, via a wheeled ladle, producing sheets your team will load into a giant cooling oven known as a lehr.

Preferred candidates will have experience in an industrial environment and/or restaurant experience as a cook. Foundry experience is a plus. Construction experience is helpful.

Must have:

Ability to lift, push, and pull 50-80 pounds

Attention to detail

Good communication and teamwork skills

Positive attitude

Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift

Please send resume with TC on the Subject line. Check us out at: www.bullseyeglass.com
