Part-Time Cook Position – Senior Center Café (Scappoose)
We are seeking a dedicated part-time cook to join our senior center café team in Scappoose. The position is available on Mondays and Fridays, with shifts lasting approximately 5 to 6 hours each day, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The primary responsibility will be serving a pre-fixed lunch to a group of about 30 to 50 people.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve pre-set lunches for 30 to 50 guests.
Operate kitchen equipment including fryer, grill, convection oven, and perform food preparation tasks as needed.
Follow established recipes accurately to ensure meal consistency and quality.
Assist with menu planning and preparation.
Help manage inventory and stock supplies as required.
Provide occasional backup support for Monday and Friday evening Bingo events.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience working with fryer, grill, and general food prep.
Ability to accurately follow recipes and directions.
Must possess a valid food handler’s card.
Reliable transportation is essential.
Strong customer service skills are preferred.
Ability to maintain cleanliness and demonstrate pride in food presentation.
Must be clean, friendly, creative, and able to work well as part of a team.
